Matteo and his team put together the trip of a lifetime for me and my family. It was no easy task and he was the only agent (out of 10 I spoke to) that was able to book this trip. We were 14 people with 2 children under 5 years old looking to take a week-long trip to Italy and booking during the most busy season (booking May 2022 for Aug 2022). Matteo was responsive, efficient, and designed an itinerary that met all requirements and came in right on budget. There was no comparison in the level of service and professionalism to the other American and Italian travel agencies I attempted to use.

When the trip began, Matteo created a WhatsApp channel for me and his customer service staff to communicate should anything need to be changed. The Discoveryouritaly team would respond within minutes and gracefully handled delays due to inclement weather and even an illness in the group. Everything was seamless. Once the trip started I didn’t need to worry about a thing. Big thanks to Barbara for being our angel during the trip. With Matteo at the helm, we experienced more amazing, over-the-top service and care than we ever have during our many previous travels. From transportation, transfers and tours to lodging, location and communication, we were constantly impressed. I was introduced to Discover Your Italy travel agency through Zicasso in 2019. I then saw a writeup of the company in a Travel & Leisure article about recommended travel agencies in Italy and was hooked. Daniela and her team were amazing... the service and support they provided in preparation of our trip was reassuring all through the Covid pandemic as we originally started planning our anniversary trip for May 2020, rebooked it for 2021 and then again for 2022.

Once we arrived in Italy this year, Daniela set up a WhatsApp Chat with me and my wife so we always felt we had our agent by our side at all times. This was invaluable and comforting when we had trouble locating one of our excursion guides because we were standing on opposite street corners or when we asked them to speak in Italian to our taxi driver who couldn't find the meeting point for our boat excursion. Our trip was 5Star + and stress-free with their "white glove" service.

I contacted Daniela through DiscoverYourItaly/Zicasso and was immediately confident my first trip to Italy was going to be well planned and cared for by herself, and her company/partnerships. Daniela took as much time as I needed on email, phone call, video call, and text messages throughout the planning process to ensure my trip was exactly what I wanted - and nothing I didn't. She wanted my first trip to Italy to be memorable, and it sure was! She was excellent in flexibility when COVID hit, and our trip had to be postponed - let me repeat that - she was EXCELLENT. I could not have been more satisfied with the pre-planning process. The trip I wanted was not a cheap one, but it WELL exceeded my expectation, as did Daniela. I will be returning to Positano, as I fell in love with that city the moment I arrived to it, and I will DEFINATELY contact Daniela for my return. I would suggest this company to everyone/anyone planning a trip to Italy. A great big "thanks again" to Daniela, and her company!!!

Do not TRUST them. The owner "Matteo" is extremely aggressive when you have any complaints. Calling you a liar and claiming it is always our fault, but not until the vacation is over of course ;).

Issues with hotels were not solved at the time of complaint and they told us they "were looking into a resolution". While we sweat in our "luxury" hotel because the AC is not working. They tell us in it is working... They aren't even there! Just protecting the hotel relationship because they make money off each other. Never coming up with a solution and when we got back they dismissed it as our fault and that nature made it too hot for the AC to cool the room.

They don't pay attention to the details, which is there entire claim to be the best tourist agency for Italy, to send you to where the locals do. Weak and short tours in every city, we literally had to tell them after our first 2 cities to extend our tours in the other cities so we could actually learn something. I can only imagine how much we would not have seen if we didn't pay thousands more the weeks of to have the next city tours extended. We constantly saw group tours giving more information about the attraction.

They only booked us to walk in and back out with minimal historical lectures. The best attractions were booked weeks out such as walking the Duomo. They booked the cheapest and most superficial tours. We never knew until we got there. "Oh, your ticket doesn't include this" Why? "It's booked weeks out". Isn't that the point of planning a trip months in advance?

Disputed charges and won because of evidence.

Matteo and team booked us a fabulous tour across Italy. We visited Tuscany, Cinque Terra, Florence and Rome. Matteo was patient in working through our itinerary initially, making revisions to better suit our interests and preferences. In Tuscany, he let us know our time there would coincide with the Palio di Siena and was able to secure us tickets to view a trial from a window overlooking the square. There is no way we would have been able to figure this out without him, as it was a window on the second floor of a tiny office. The view was phenomenal. Across the rest of our trip, we had many guided tours, whether biking through Tuscany, hiking through Cinque Terra, or visiting historical sites. Our Florence guide had received a graduate degree abroad, loved her city, and our experience was akin to being on tour with a friendly college professor. She set the high bar, but all of our tour guides were uniformly kind, dependable, and knowledgable. Lastly, Matteo and his team continued to be so helpful when we were on the ground in Italy. They were very responsive on WhatsApp. One day there was a taxi strike in Rome, so they scrambled to try to find us a driver to our food tour. They patiently made and changed dinner reservations for us. Overall, we had a great experience working with them and highly recommend!

We are just home from the trip of a lifetime. Matteo and the team at Discoveryouritaly far exceeded our expectations. From planning to enjoying the trip every detail was perfect. Their travel app is the perfect companion for quick questions and to communicate should there be any problems. Highly recommend.

A friend suggested I look into DiscoverYourItaly when planning my Honeymoon and after looking at their website I knew they would plan a beautiful trip for us. After having a zoom-meeting with Luca, we quickly got our program and quote. We requested a change to our program and our new itinerary was sent over in a timely fashion. Luca, Barbara, and Andrea were helpful leading up to and during our trip.

During the trip itself, we had wonderful tours, particularly at the Colosseum and in Cinque Terre. We stayed in beautiful hotels with friendly and helpful staff. We had a wonderful trip and would book with DiscoverYourItaly again in a heartbeat!
