We stayed for two weeks at the Antica Magione using all of their bedrooms for friends and families. They all appreciated their en suite bathrooms. We used the central Tuscany location to make visits to nearby hill towns of Volterra, Monticino, Deruda, Volpaia, Livorno, several trips to Siena and Florence. Emmanuele and Alexandressa were gracious and helpful hosts; when their chef was out for our group dinner, Alexandressa prepared a feast. Best Steak Pizzaola ever and handmade tortellini. The views from the windows were real Tuscan portraits every day, the kitchen was a focal point for planning the day and the study was used for internet research on the next sites and restaurants. While the building is over a century old, it has been redone well and kept much of its original charm. The furniture and decoration were chosen with care and attention to detail. Basic necessities were only a short drive away, we went out and got fresh croissants (cornettos) and cappuccino (dopio! or double) each morning.

Fabulous. We stayed a few years back, but I only just came across this posting on Google last night. I can whole heartedly recommend this location. The setting is spectacular, the pool and surrounding gardens are every bit as beautiful as the photos suggest, the house and its views are delightful, and the surrounding region is an endless treasure trove of history, architecture and delicious food waiting to be discovered. Highly recommended.

Emanuele & Allesandra as onsite owners respected our privacy yet we're there when we needed them. Traveling the surrounding towns and exploring was more tolerable due to their input. The Villa was relaxing, the architecture amazing, the private pool outstanding. This area is a quaint village you feel like you're a part of a wonderful family while your stay. Grazia's cooking a complete joy with Emanuele's historic knowledge of the Tuscan area and Allesandra's artistic touch added to our most pleasurable stay. Their hand crafted wine was a smooth tasting complement to our meals. Grazie mille
