The most wonderful, romantic, and breathtakingly beautiful vacation you’re likely to ever have - Alessandro and Emiliano’s cottage is something from a dream. Far and away the best place we've ever stayed at and one of the most serene, sublime, and simply luxurious stays in Italy you could ask for.
My wife and I came here for a week of our 12-day honeymoon and were completely overwhelmed by the natural beauty and extreme attention-to-detail with every indulgence and amenity the property offers. Far and away the best part of our entire trip.
Nestled in (what is in my mind) the best hilltop view in all of Tuscany, the cottage is a perfect blend of centuries-old Italian architecture and near-flawless retrofitting of new windows, full-frame sliding glass doors, air-conditioning, luxury appliances, gorgeous landscape design, and perfectly color-temperatured lighting.
I cannot overstate how beautiful this place is. It’s something directly out of a Nancy Meyers movie.
The bed - both the largest and most-substantial I’ve ever had in any place I’ve stayed in all of Europe - is complimented with giant pillows and positioned to look out along the olive grove and outdoor garden, while the couch and sitting areas (which are numerous) overlook the wide expanse of the valley; down along the lights of the countryside villages dotting the horizon.
A private, stonewalled drive and gated hillside entrance. An outdoor, greenery-adorned shower. Hammock, sling chairs, butterfly chairs, loungers, and an antique bed with a clean foam mattress. LED color-changing lights pre-charged for use in the evening out on the loungers. A pre-charged portable Bose speaker at your disposal for playing music outdoors as the sun sets. Every spice and seasoning you’d ever need in the kitchen. A washroom with washer/dryer, soaps, and detergents. Fresh lavender bushes perfectly-placed, lining the perimeter of the patio, whipping around in the breeze, creating an unforgettable scent of olive and lavender that truly make your dreams of Italy feel like a reality. There’s an effortless romance to the entire experience that is totally enchanting.
The meticulous care and enormous hospitality in every detail of this idyllic space is so extreme and specific you’ll think, somehow, they’re made it just for you. But really, as can never be stated enough by every single reviewer (myself included), the biggest strength of this property comes from the hosts themselves - Alessandro and Emiliano.
The duo’s hospitality, kindness, compassion, and care is utterly unmatched by any previous experience, hotel or otherwise, I’ve ever had. They are warm, accommodating people that love to host and still offer such incredible privacy to their guests. They spare no effort in giving the best recommendations, information, and guidance on navigating the region - and our stay was welcomed with fresh bruschetta, Aperol spritz, and an embrace of one of their beautiful golden retrievers, Giorgio.
They communicate very clearly and answer any question you have on the phone with extreme promptness, and speak fluent English (another rarity, you’ll find, that is appreciate) to more Italian-challenged guests.
They made us a delicious dinner and brought it out to the outdoor patio so as not to disturb us (though they never could, we love them), and I was again reminded of just how special this whole stay was. Sincerely, just the absolute best.
I mention this because it’s a kindness that is all-too-rare in this world when traveling abroad (for any person, anywhere, I think) - and I was astounded by both the hospitality but also just genuine care and humanity it exuded. Alessandro and Emiliano's genuine care and incredible home made our honeymoon something we will reflect fondly on for the rest of our lives.
We are so extremely grateful for this place and them (and their wonderful dogs).

Alessandro and Emiliano’s Moonlit Cottage was an incredible, romantic place to stay! It’s nestled on a hill with breathtaking views, and in the middle of a gorgeous olive grove. Every detail was carefully considered, the house is gorgeously designed, and comes with your own garden. We were there for five nights and didn’t want to leave! We spent a couple days just at the house. The hosts are absolutely delightful, and took great care to ensure we were comfortable, and provided fabulous local recommendations. We want to come back!

Alessandro and Emiliano's place was simply amazing! The view from the patio was breathtaking, and what really impressed us was the care of details they had for the property.
It's in really good condition, with very nice appliance and forniture. You will have everything you need there, and if for whatever reason there is something missing, you will find them helping you in no time.
If you are thinking about booking this property, look no further and do it!
