Location splendida!
A+++

Soggiorno meraviglioso, immersi nel verde della val di chiana. Siamo stati accolti da Fiammetta e Gianfranco che ci hanno fornito tutte le indicazioni utili per il siggiorno. Spero di tornare presto

We are a family of 5 - Mum, Dad, two kids (4 and 2) and a baby. We stayed at Fiammetta's place for two weeks. Fiammetta and Gianfranco were lovely hosts. They took us in very last minute and waited until 10pm for us to arrive when we had to leave our originally booked Airbnb "farmhouse" because it wasn't safe for us to stay there. They communicated very quickly, always wanted to make sure we had what we needed, and even helped us book haircuts and drive us to the hair salon. The hospitality was top notch. The place is the upper flat of a four-plex. They lived directly downstairs and then there were neighbors as well. Some noise coyld be heard from the other flats.

Overall the flat is good but basic. The bedrooms are a decent size with lots of storage, the bathroom is large with a smaller shower, and the main room is a one couch sitting area/dining area/kitchen open room. Each room has one window so we found the main room a bit dark (we stayed in March when the weather was bad/dark) and needed the lights on. The place was clean and comfy and had most everything you needed in the kitchen. There was a full apartment size fridge (not a mini fridge) which was great for us. There is a big yard and lots of parking. The house is in its own little complex so we felt okay letting the kids run about outside with minimal supervision. We had a lot of bad weather so spent a lot of time indoors. It wasn't the best place for that with kids but just adults would be fine or warmer weather for kids. We had a car which I would say is essential although I did see bus stops around (but hardly ever saw buses). The town is cute and fun to explore. It is also situated well to visit other areas quite easily. We were delightfully surprised. Overall, it's a good home base with all the basics. Our biggest complaints were we didn't have Wi-Fi the whole two weeks because it was either down or the connection was too weak and the master bed was VERY firm. We prefer something a bit softer but if you like a firm bed, this would be fine. Thank you again Fiammetta and Gianfranco for your hospitality!
