Nur durch Zufall gelangten wir an diesen wunderschönen Ort und durften ein spontanes Wein Tasting genießen.
Nach einer Woche Toskana und der Besichtigung von einigen Weingütern waren wir uns einig, dass dies das bezaubernste von allen war. Die Weine schmeckten uns hier mit Abstand am besten, das Tasting mit Jennifer war nicht nur sehr informativ, sondern auch sehr sympathisch und familiär. Sollte es uns nochmal in die Toskana verschlagen, kommen wir sehr gerne wieder.

Wir sind auf Empfehlung vom “Il Papervero“ gekommen, da wir den herrlichen Riserva in der Osteria getrunken haben. Das Weingut ist sehr schön gelegen und gepflegt. Die Hausherrin hat uns sehr fachkundig durch die Weinverkostung geführt. Die Weine sind ausgezeichnet zu einem fairen Preis.

The toughest part of this review is figuring out where to begin. The guest house, le Diacce, was covering in ivy, giving it this magical appearance. It had a charm to it. I can't explain it but it felt old enough to where if it was haunted, all of the ghosts would make great roommates. It was just this beautifully positive energy. The bed were comfy. The amenities were beautiful (the outdoor spaces were amazing, you got to overlook the vineyards). The pool was well maintained. But I think the best part of my experience was getting to interact with the owners and those who lived on the property. They were some of the most welcoming, and sweet human being I have ever met. They went out of their way to provide us with advice and help. The wine we tasted was out of this world. This place has captured my heart, for good reason too! I will never forget my time spent here and I can't wait to return.

Vandaag hebben we Podere Ciona bezocht op aanraden van onze AirBnB eigenaar. Wat een fijne plek! We werden warm onthaald door de eigenaar Lorenzo, die druk was op het land met de oogst en ondanks dat ze eigenlijk gesloten waren. Zijn vrouw Jennifer heeft ons met passie over hun familiebedrijf en wijnen verteld en ons diverse wijnen laten proeven. Zeer ongedwongen en fijne sfeer, maar bovenal zijn de wijnen erg lekker! Indien je geen wijnen koopt betaal je een kleine prijs voor de proeverij, maar zodra je wat meeneemt betaal je niks meer. De wijnen zijn van goede kwaliteit, net wat duurder dan gemiddeld (vanaf 13 euro) maar gezien de kwaliteit en kleine oplage een zeer goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Zeker een aanrader om hier te stoppen!!! We hebben een aantal flessen meegenomen voor thuis :)
