Palmi was extremely accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we had transportation to a couple day trips we had, reservations at his restaurant and wine tasting on the terrace and in Lucca. Having the chefs come and cook us dinner outside was one of the highlights of the trip. Eating delicious meals while sitting at the dinner table and enjoying the absolutely gorgeous views was a once in a lifetime experience. Thank you Palmi for everything!

The management of the place, however, leaves much to be desired. Upon arrival, we were told that the villa we had booked and paid for was not available, and we were given a much smaller place. The owner even claimed the two were equivalent, which is blatantly false: the villa we had chosen was much bigger and more expensive. We had to negotiate extensively to be given what we had paid for, which was unpleasant and a massive waste of time. Some of the claims made by the owner were frankly preposterous, but persistence got us there eventually, although we had to spend one night elsewhere. Whilst it all worked out in the end, this is not good customer service.
If you do book this place, which deserves a visit, do make sure you book via Booking.com, avoid interacting directly with the owner and have everything agreed and documented extremely clearly.

It was our pleasure to have been hosted for an afternoon by the kindest Palmi, Paola and team as we visited the property while scouting venues for our wedding reception/ anniversary. What was meant to be a brief encounter ended up becoming a full day excursion, thanks to the ever so kind Paola who showed us around on behalf of Palmi. We saw approx 12 venues across the whole of Tuscany and the welcome and the service we received at Villa Collette was like no other - one receives such warm welcome and sincerity that you are made to feel at home instantly, which goes to show how much Palmi values his home and the guests that he invites to enjoy it. Thank you for sharing your home with us, even if it was for a few hours. Each corner of this Villa leaves you spoilt for choice - from the gorgeous Italian gardens that welcome you to the incredible terrace which is perfect for hosting both formal and informal dinners, while you marvel at the view it. L'aria condizionata promessa non c'era, solo una specie di refrigeratori con acqua. La cucina non era attrezzata per 6 persone, pentole e utensili troppo pochi e un frigorifero traballante angusto. Nella camera da letto centrale abbiamo prima stretto le gambe dei letti e poi abbiamo gentilmente chiesto se si poteva sostituire la tenda della doccia ammuffita (cosa che è stata fatta il giorno successivo). Non c'era nessun blackout in quella camera da letto, quindi abbiamo appeso qualcosa da soli.
La lussuosa terrazza sul tetto della Villa Colletto si trova esattamente sopra lo spazio che abbiamo affittato e abbiamo sentito molto camminare, correre e altri rumori dai vicini al piano di sopra, che sono andati avanti fino a tarda notte.
Tutto sommato non era la qualità che ci aspettavamo.
