The post office itself is nothing to write home to mom about, a small, cluttered space on the ground floor of a centuries old building, but the man working there, Fulvio, is one of the kindest, most patient and helpful individuals on the face of this Earth. He will go out of his way to help anyone with difficulties, senior citizens or tourists regardless of the number of people in line. The Gioiella post office may be a relic from the past, but as such it is to be preserved and appreciated, personified as it is in a splendid example of Italian civil service at its best.
