I purchased a Lancia Fulvia Coupe from David in March 2022. David documented the condition of the car very thoroughly with approximately 150 photos and presented the car honestly. He was able to put me in touch with a local shipping representative who was arranged shipping to Canada. Both David and his shipper were great with communications through the fairly lengthy shipping project, although the long duration was no fault of theirs. When the car arrived it was as presented and I'm very happy with the condition. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend David as a source for a car from Italy.

This summer I went to David to have the exhaust of my Citroen Mehari repaired. As he could not do this himself, he arranged everything perfectly through his local connections. The car was repaired the next day and our holiday could go on.

David does everything he says he's going to do. He is a delight to deal with. It's a little scary to send money to someone you've never met, buying something you've never seen. I worked with David (owner of dgclassiccars) over a year and a half to find a very well preserved (unrestored) car. He's very knowledgeable and observant: essential attributes for inspecting classics. He was also able to recommend a shipping agent.
I collected the car recently from Baltimore after shipping from Savona, and I'm pleased to report the condition surpasses my expectations, and that's an assessment based on even the minutest details pertaining to vehicle originality. This was my first overseas purchase and, naturally, raised multiple questions and concerns. I liked that I could bounce some thoughts off David before any decision and I had confidence in his assessments. I think it's very much a single person operation, and with the travel it entails, expect an occasional delay in responses.

My wife and I had been looking for a Lancia Fulvia for sometime and were regular visitors to David’s website to check out his stock. When we saw the beautiful Series 1 Rallye we were smitten. David’s willingness to volunteer information about the car and it’s provenance was refreshingly honest and his pre- and after-sales help was similarly outstanding. The car arrived in the U.K. in perfect condition and we couldn’t be happier. A great experience all round.

I had been searching for the right Lancia Fulvia 1600 HF for several years when one became available on Bring a Trailer. DG Classic Cars was immediately in touch with me after the win with all of the necessary steps to complete the sale and arrange shipment to the USA. David (the proprietor) put me in touch Pro Med Spedizioni, his preferred shipper. I did seek other quotes but none cheaper or more responsive. In spite of worldwide supply chain delays, we were able to book tranport to Genoa and on to New York in a few weeks time. The car had been offered with a complete walk-around video, detailing features and flaws. Upon receipt the car, I was elated that it was in perfect shape and as described. David's reputation (vouched for by Bring a Trailer members) was the principal reason I decided to purchase a car sight unseen, over 5,000 miles away. I was not disappointed and would enthusiastically endorse David's services for anyone looking for a classic car in Italy.

I visited DG Classic Cars during my Summer holiday 2021 and spend pleasant time together with David, going through all his cars as well as his model train collection. I ended up buying my AR Giulia Super shortly after my visit. David certainly gave a great service, with clear and prompt answers and explanations during the process. Transportation to Denmark vent smooth, and the car arrived as agreed.
Car is running well without any problems at all.
